MEGASCAN LOOKDEV TUTORIAL

When we bring Megascans or Textures into Cinema we nearly always need to edit them and make changes so they can fit our model, suit our lighting and look nice. Getting used to this with Megascans is very useful as they generally require a lot of setup to work effectively.

Light Gobos are Image Textures we can place on our lights to create shadows on our scene.

These are very fun to work with and add a lot of flexibility and realism to our lighting, in this video I show you how to work with them but I also show you that you can create the same effect by setting up our light source effectively and placing objects infront of the light.

Light Passes or Light ID's are when we can give each light a number and then tell certain objects to either be effected by that light or ignore it. With scenes that our juggling many objects we can make great use of this to sustain control over out lighting and not have objects being lit by lights when we don't want them to be.

This Task will be a little more tricky as we are now dealing with Light ID's and making a scene that is juggling many things at once.

For this Task I want you to just render me one image using the assets I have provided.

Every asset is in the scene for you but all the megascans textures have been edited as if they have been brought in raw from megascans so you will have to do lookdev to them to make them look nice.

Make sure to watch the Light ID's tutorial and Gobo tutorial to understand how to approach this render.

You can download any GOBO's from the asset library and use whatever ones you desire.
